Scope and Content Note: Series F details Friedman's life in Israel. In 1971, Friedman fulfilled a life-long dream and made aliyah. This series details a number of activities in which Friedman was involved while living in Jerusalem and Caesarea. These include involvement with the Association for Progressive Judaism in Israel, the Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel, and the Israeli Democratic Party for Change. Friedman also taught courses at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Jerusalem. As a result, several documents in this series pertain to his role as educator. Finally, transcripts from a number of speeches given during this time are housed in this series.
